Northstar Bike Park Day Trips

When you enroll in Shaffer's High Sierra Summer Camp's mountain bike program track, you will have the option to include our wildly popular day trip to the Northstar Bike Park! Northstar is northern California's largest mountain bike park. It has miles and miles of trails, features, and jumps. Download the trail map.

Your camper must be a solid intermediate downhill mountain bike rider. If your camper needs to develop their skills a little more, or your camper doesn't want to go to the Bike Park, no problem. And you won't have to pay for it.

Riders must either bring their own bike or rent a bike at Northstar, which is estimated to be between $135 and $180 for the day in 2027. Actual prices are dependent on prices set by Northstar and the bike selected. Campers must also have a pack that can carry at least one liter of water, a lunch, and a spare tube. You can bring your own or buy one at the Camp Store. Having such a bag is a requirement for the trip.

This specialized program track usually sells out, so reserve your spot early so your camper doesn't get disappointed!
